She was born Aug. 3, 1925, to Albion and Grace Smith Kelley in Blakesburg. On April 18, 1942, she married Walter B. Jerred.
She was a resident of Ottumwa before moving to Agency in 1964. She had worked for John Morrell & Co., Frito-Lay and Canteen Lunch. She was a 52-year member of Ottumwa Baptist Temple.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Mike Jerred of Wellsville, KS; two daughters Julie Hanel and Jeanne Sorenson of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and five great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by a son, John Jerred; three brothers, Lloyd Kelley, a twin brother, Merle Kelley and Maurice Kelley; and a sister, Marjoire Johns.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesay at Ottumwa Baptist Temple, the Rev. Tandy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. today at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Casket bearers will be Gerald Phillips, Lloyd Phillips, George Blumer, Dale Steele, Clair Young and Bill Overturf.
A memorial has been established to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
