Georgianna Hostetter

Georgianna Hostetter, 73, of Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction, formerly of Morning Sun, died Saturday, June 12, 1999, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born June 26, 1925, in Centerville, she was the daughter of William Walter and Cecil Zelda Kelley Ward. On June 25, 1943, she married Paul L. Hostetter in Milan, Mo. He died Sept. 12, 1998.

Mrs. Hostetter was a graduate of dell High School. She was a homemaker and worked as a nurse's aide for the Morning Sun Care Center.

She was a member of Morning Sun United Methodist Church. She was a avid reader, enjoyed all sports and loved to sing.

Survivors include four daughters, Teresa Kenny of Longmont, Colo., Linda Miller of Mediapolis, Kathy Reid of Golden, Colo., and Rhoda of Columbus Junction; two sons, Jim Hostetter of Morning Sun and Roger Hostetter of Longmont; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother, John William Ward of Aledo, Ill.

Besides her husband, she was preceeded in death by her parents, one son, on daughter, one grandson, and three sisters.

Visitation will begin after noon Monday at Hagele and Hunts Funeral Home in Morning Sun, where the family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Hostetter will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in First United Presbyterian Church in Morning Sun, with the Rev. Jack Edmisson officiiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Morning Sun.

A memorial has been established.
