Richard "Rick" Ackerman was born to Fay F. Ackerman of Torrington, Wy. and Dorothy A. Ferry of Tiverton Rhode Island February 21, 1950 in Cheyenne, Wy. He was a carpenter by trade, owning his business Empire Construction and retiring from Laramie County School District #1. He married JoEllen Bozohart and they had two children, Ryan Ackerman and Jennifer Ackerman. He had one sister, Sharon Kay (Ackerman)Kelley and a brother who preceded him in death, John Wayne Ackerman, interim at Olivet Cemetery in Cheyenne. Grandparents Orville and Mona Ackerman are also buried at the Memorial Garden Cemetery. Grandchildren Kaitlyn, Jonathan and Ashley were the love of his life. He is buried next to his Father, Fay F. Ackerman whom he cherished and admired.
