Sergeant Christian Joseph Friedman passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012 at the age of 37. He was born in New Orleans to William Julian and Kathryn Friedman. He resided in Gulfport, MS with his wife, Rachel Link Friedman. Chris graduated from Grace King High School and went on to serve 16 years in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. He is also survived by his two sisters, Michelle Wallace and Erin Wallace and will be especially missed by his three nieces: Kathryn, Allie and Rachel and a nephew, Robbie. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Divine Providence Church, corner of N. Starrett Rd. and W. Metairie Ave. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Monday, October 29, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
