Mr. Larry Paul Richardson, Jr., 39, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2009, at 3:30 a.m. after a brief illness. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2009 at Osborn Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Broadmoor Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dianne Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery. Mr. Richardson was a native of Shreveport, LA and a resident of Shreveport for 38 years. He was a member of Broadmoor Presbyterian Church. His previous years of service with the Sheriff's Explorer Post and Dixie Garden Volunteer Fire Department, District 9 were an important part of his life. Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by grandparents, Herman W. and Mary Louise Richardson and Elmer L. and Mary L. Lance. He is survived by his parents, Larry Paul and Mary Evelyn Richardson. The family requests that memorials be made to Broadmoor Presbyterian Church Children's Building Fund or the charity of your choice. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Abdehou, Dr. Kamm and the I.C.U. nursing staff for their excellent care. Mike Chandler and the Willis-Knighton Respiratory staff, Mark Williams and the medical staff of Promise Hospital for their love and concern in our hour of grief.
