Stephanie Jan Barnes was born December 25, 1952 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma the daughter of Leo Francis and Patricia (Haney) Burghart. Stephanie died Monday, February 15, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was 57 years of age.
The former Miss Stephanie Burghart was a 1971 graduate of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma High School. She moved to Broken Arrow in 1964 from Downey, California. She attended Tulsa Junior College and the University of Tulsa, where she received her Nursing Degree. She was married to Curtis James King on December 22, 1973 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, who preceded her in death on January 1, 1976. She married Harold Eugene Barnes on August 21, 1981. She was a Registered Nurse at St. Francis Hospital and Tulsa Regional Medical Center, having worked in the Surgery, ICU and CCU units. She had also worked for Agencies in Emergency situations.
