Pioneer Farmer Is Claimed by Death
Enoch M. Robinson, 72 years old, pioneer Anadarko farmer, died in a local hospital friday following an operation. Rev. Marshall Mercer of the Church of God will conduct services from the Watts and McAlec funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Sunny Lane Cemetery.
Robinson, who moved to the state from Tennessee 25 years ago, is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mrs. F. H. French, Mrs. W. V. Ellington, and Mrs. A. R. Steiger, all of Oklahoma City and Mrs. I. R. Adams of Eubank, Ky.; seven sons, L. O. and A. J. Robinson of Oklahoma City; Robert and Oather Robinson, Cement, E.C. Robinson, Cyril; Mack Robinson, Los Angeles, Calif., and DeWitt Robinson, Anadarko, and 40 grandchildren. (Burial took place on 15 Jan 1934)

Note: Enoch Marion Robinson was originally named Abraham Lincoln Robinson by his parents. Because of anti-north sentiments in the area during and after the Civil War his name was changed to Enoch Marion. Although his name was changed he continued to use the nickname, "Linc" all his life. Enoch's father, William Burton Robinson, was a Union soldier and died in the war at Rogersville, Tennessee. Enoch's mother, Eliza Jane Trammell Robinson drew a civil war widow's pension on her husband's service.
