Agnes Thornton met Charles Clarence Delaney while he was attending King's College of the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, after the war. To join Charles, Agnes migrated from Scotland to the United States in 1919 by way of Scottish passenger ship "Columbia." Departing from Glasgow, she arrived at Ellis Island, in New York, October 1, 1919.
Agnes and Charles married May 25, 1925, in Prescott, Arizona, where they settled for a short time. After living in Prescott, they settled in Fort Smith, and eventually, Charleston, Arkansas. Aside from having a beautiful voice, Agnes enjoyed needle work, sewing, flowers and flowering shrubs planted at her home, her family and friends. She died on July 11, 1975. Her funeral was held in the Methodist Church in Charleston, Arkansas.
