Victor Arthur Dufour was the son of Joseph "Joe" Dufour and Aldolphine Dufour, born April 27, 1903 in Pennsylvania. His parents were born in Belgium.

After his birth, his family migrated to Sebastian County, Arkansas where his father initially worked as a coal miner and later owned and operated a small grocery store and gas station in Greenwood Arkansas.

Victor was the husband of Cora M. McCorkle Dufour, married September 26, 1935 in Howard County, Arkansas. According to their marriage certificate, Victor's residence was McNab, Hempstead County, Arkansas, and Cora's was Saratoga, Howard County, Arkansas.

In his earlier years, Victor was a railroad telegraph operator. For most of his career, however, he was in insurance and real estate in Fort Smith, Arkansas working for the Bicknell Agency, and CS Real Estate and Insurance.

Victor and Cora had two daughters, Eula Faye and Carolyn Dufour, and four grandchildren: Carla and Carlton (children of Eula Faye and C.C. Smith), and Grant and Eric (children of Carolyn and Noel Nally).

Vic was loved by many. He was an active member of Phoenix Village Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Greenwood Masonic Lodge.

Victor died August 10, 1986. He is buried next to his wife, Cora, and his parents at Rose Lawn Park Cemetery, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
