Son of: Dora Ida Shelton & Rodney Sylvester Williams.
Dick was raised in Elko, NV. where he was active in band, basketball, student government, plays & cheer.
Dick served an LDS Mission in Texas-Louisiana 1949-51 & while serving found his future wife. Dick & Helen married 14 Dec 1951 Salt Lake Temple.
Dick graduated from BYU-Provo.
Dick was stationed at Travis Air Force Base for 2 yrs.
Dick's employment was LDS Seminaries & Institutes in Price, Monticello & Granger, UT. In Texas, for 17 years, he also covered surrounding states and organized LDS Institutes & early morning seminary, as well as LDS home study programs. He also taught Institute in Edmonton, Canada for 3 years.
He and wife Helen served as missionary couple in the Toronto East Mission, serving in Sudbury, Canada.
Dick & Helen returned to their home in Cedar City, UT and later sold that home and purchased a condo in Cedar City - where they both later passed over.
Dick served in his church as a Bishop, Mission Presidency Counselor (Texas), Stake President and Patriarch.
Dick is survived by his brother Gary (Marietta) & sister D. Lugene; his wife Helen; their 6 children: Rick (JaNae); Mark; Gary (Virginia); Scott (JoAnna); Matthew (Carla); Becca (Mike); 23 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren. Dick is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Duane & Gerald; & grandchildren - Scott Spencer Williams, Bonnie Jo Williams (Scott & JoAnna); Brock Travis Williams, Bryce Evan Williams, Brayden David Williams, Broly Michael Williams, Bridger Michael Willaims (Gary & Virginia).
