PATRICIA K. CREMER, 74, died January 21, 2012 at the Baptist Trinity Hospice Home at Collierville. Patti was born July 11, 1937 in the Rehobeth community near Pelahatchie, MS to Thomas J. and Irene G. (Holmberg) King. Patti graduated from Aberdeen High School, 1955, and graduated from Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Memphis, 1958, where she remained working as a Registered Nurse for fourteen years. She married Dr. Michael A. Cremer on March 4, 1972 in Memphis. She leaves her husband of Germantown; daughter, Jennifer S. Cremer of Cordova; three brothers, James V. King of Jackson, MS, Richard L. King and wife, Sue S. King of Franklin, TN, and William O. "Billy" King and wife, Marilyn P. King of Tupelo, MS; and five nephews. Her parents preceded her in death. Patti will be remembered for her love of her family, avid reading of scripture, classical and popular literature, working advanced crossword puzzles in ink, following NASCAR and driver Matt Kenseth, freely volunteering her time and insight to those in need of caring help, and countless small acts of kindness. A memorial service will be held for Patti at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, January 28. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mid-South Chapter of the National MS Society or to a charity of their choice.
