Globe Guilder Donna Blochwitz died on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, after a period of declining health. She had been a member of the Guilders since 2004, serving the organization in various capacities such as a seamstress in the Globe costume shop, helping with cast and crew Meet & Greet gatherings, and designing a Celebrating Couture printed program, as well as preparing the frequently displayed membership board. Being a Globe Guilder meant so much to Donna. She especially treasured the experience of performing in Odyssey, directed by Lear de Bessonet, on the stage of the Lowell Davies Festival Theatre in 2011.

Donna was a member of the Gaslamp Players, a group of thespians who perform around the city, assuming the personas of early San Diegans. No one who met her will forget those beautiful eyes.
