Almira Elizabeth Mohler was born April 2, 1852, near Winchester, Jackson county, Ohio, and died January 9, 1936, at the age of 83 years, 9 months, 7 days at her home in Long Lane.

In 1867 she was married to Wm. J. McArron. To this union were born seven children, six of whom are living. Samuel L., the eldest, was born 1869 in Ohio and came with the parents to Missouri. He died at the age of five years. The surviving children are: C. W. McArron of Conway, Mo., J. H. McArron of Breckenridge, Texas, F. H. McArron of Quincy, Kansas, Mrs. Mae Bledsoe of Long Lane, R. E. McArron of Long Lane, and Mrs. Alma Powell of Romance, Oklahoma. In addition to the surviving children she leaves eighteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Christena Whittaker, of Wellston, Ohio, and numerous other relatives to mourn her departure.

In 1870 she came to Long Lane with her companion from Ohio and settled on the farm where they reared their family. Her companion, Wm. J. McArron, preceeded her in death twentry-five years, having passed away November 16, 1910.

She professed a faith in Christ at an early age and lived faithful to the end. She was a member of the old Four Mile Methodist church.

She was a kind friend and a faithful and loving mother, and will be missed by all. No one can fill the place left vacant by her departure.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. E. Jackson at Long Lane Baptist church at 2:00 pm. Saturday. Burial followed in Pisgah cemetery under direction of L. B. Jones
