Thomas Marvin Catoe, Jr., of Kershaw, died Saturday, Aug. 3 at the age of 60. Born in Camden, he was the son on the late Thomas Marvin Catoe, Sr. and Madeline (Mattie) Gaines Catoe. He was a member of Refuge Baptist Church, where he was a musician, and a supervisor at New South Forest Industries. Surviving are his wife, Trula "Blondie" Catoe; two sons, Randy Catoe of Ashby, Minn. and Thomas D. Catoe, of Oineville*: three daughters, Mrs. Peggy Jo Adams of Dalton Minn, Mrs. Diane Kesler of Ashby and Mrs. Brian (Jimmie**) Cobb of Cookeville, TN. two step sons, Dale and Monty Branham of Kershaw, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Alvin (Cindy) Etter of Kershaw, stepmother, Mrs. Alby Bowers of Camden; a brother, John W Catoe of Kershaw; a sister, Mrs. Dewly (Emily) Case of Camden, three half-brothers, Allen Catoe of Lugoff, Bill Catoe of Camden, and Buddy Lee Catoe of North Myrtle Beach, two half-sisters, Mrs. Loretta Kennington, and Mrs. Ethel Dixon of Camden, and nine grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 pm today at Refuge Baptist Church conducted by Revs. Clarence Dorman, Benny Wadford and Donnie Barrett, with burial in the church cemetery. Cauthen Funeral Home, Kershaw Chapel is in charge.
