Brothers: Charlie Dayton Kring (ID# 25789113) and Hosea C. Kring (burial and death date information unknown). Parents Simon Tobias Kring and "Ollie" Vesper Kring (no death or burial information for Simon, but Olive is buried in Old Mississippi Cemetery, Gulfport, Harrison, Mississippi).

Uncle Herbert was blind from glaucoma, but lived in his home until a few months before his death. He was bitten by a black widow spider during an outhouse visit when he was younger and it was one of his funniest stories. Uncle Herbert enjoyed the visits from his niece, Iva Ruth (Kring) Hartman, and her family.

Herbert married Katie Holmes in December 1905; she died in and is buried in Blackwell, Oklahoma. He later married Maggie Howze (also spelled Howse in some records). No known children from either marriage at this time.

Herbert Conrad Kring, 92, of 929 Griffin Street, Moss Point, died Tuesday at Singing River Hospital. Visitation at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral service to be held Thursday morning at the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Griffin Cemetery in Moss Point.

Herbert Conrad Kring, 92, died Tuesday night at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula. A native of Kansas, Mr. Kring, had made his home in Jackson County for 55 years and at the time of his death lived at 929 Griffin St.. Moss Point. A Presbyterian, he was a retired recovery room operator at International Paper Company. Mr. Kring is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Arthur M. Schneider Jr., pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Pascagoula, and the Rev. Athens McNeill, pastor of the Griffin Street Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Griffin Cemetery in Moss Point.
