Ashlea Alexis Richard, 19, of Welsh, LA, entered into eternal rest in the arms of her Lord on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on July 10, 1991 in Alexandria, LA. She came to trust Jesus Christ as her Savior as a teenager and was a member of The Water's Edge Gathering. She loved caring for and helping all those around her. She graduated from Welsh High School where she Lettered in Band, was a member of the Drama Club, Prostart, and InterAct. Currently she was attending McNeese State University as a Freshman majoring in English. She enjoyed cooking, reading, poetry, journalism, shopping, music, being with all her friends, being the big sister, and most of all going to the movies with her dad. She will forever be remembered as a hero to those lives she saved by donating her organs.
She was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all, but never forgotten.
