Artur Jan Kasprzak, 28, of 20 Doty Avenue, South Beach, NY, suddenly died on Monday, October 29, 2012. He drowned in his residential basement from possible electrocution after rescuing his family for safety to the attic from Hurricane Sandy. He was an off-duty NYPD cop. Beloved son of Jozef and Irena Kasprzak. Dear brother of Agata and Marta Kasprzak. Dear brother-in-law of Rafal Kasprzak. Cherished fiance of Lisa Avellino and dear nephew of Max Kasprzak. Visitation was officiated by Director K. Terrance McGinley on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Harmon Home for Funerals, 571 Forest Avenue, West Brighton, NY. The funeral was offered in the funeral home on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 10 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial arranged at 11 AM in Saint Stanislaus Kostka Church, 607 Humboldt Street, Brooklyn, NY. Interment followed at Saint Peter's Cemetery in West New Brighton.
