She loved animals and owned horses and many dogs. She would rescue animals. One time she even was bitten and had to get rabies shots. She was a devoted animal lover. Some of the animals that she owned include:

She was very interested in her family history and belonged to many different heritage organizations. War of 1812, Colonial Dames, DAR, and UDC.

Heidi D. Boothe
Heidi Marie Dowell Boothe, 44, of Aberdeen died on Wednesday (July 28, 2004) at her brother's home in Nokesville, Va., after a long battle with cancer.
A prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 2 at Price Funeral Home in Manassas, Va. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, Va.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 31 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday, Aug. 1 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Surviving are her husband John R. Boothe; parents, Heighter and Margurite Dowell of Nokesville, Va.; brother James A. Dowell and wife Suzanne of Nokesville, Va.; nephews, Christopher A. Dowell and Marc A. Dowell; and friends James J. Gauthier.
Price Funeral Home Inc. of Manassas, VA. is serving the family.
