Beloved wife of the late Jacob (Jake) Cohn; beloved mother of Ellen (Rabbi David) Lipson, Rabbi David (Susan) Cohn, Dan (Rivka) Cohn, Devora (Jay) Abramowitz and Josh Cohn; dear sister of Muriel (Dr. Howard) Potak. Also survived by 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
She and husband Jacob were founding members of Congregation Ner Shalom in Woodbridge, VA. Joan was in charge of the gift shop, and I often helped her and worked in the shop before services on Friday evenings. She often invited many of us to her home on the Jewish holidays. What a wonderful woman.
