Swedish-German politician, activist, member of the Bavarian Parliament (one of its first female representatives). She was the founder and chairwoman of the Katholischer Frauenbund (Catholic Women's Society) in Munich, and founded the Bavaria-wide society, which later merged into the German-wide Catholic Women's Society, known today as the KDFB (Katholischer Deutscher Frauenbund). One of the first to recognize the dangers of National Socialism, she is credited with being the primary force behind the defeat of Hitler's attempted putsch in Munich in 1923.
