Eddie was born in the old Ny parish, today part of Arvika, the son of John Anderson born May 18, 1864 at Gunnarskog, Värmland, Sweden, and Clara Johnson born Aug 25, 1861 in Arvika, Värmland, Sweden. Eddie and his parents emigrated from Sweden to Massachusetts in 1892 and lived in Worcester, Massachusetts for several years. He is the brother of Esther (Anderson) Main.
