Oscar was born to John and Mary Borden on March 14, 1906 in Norwalk, California.
The young parents had only known the brief joy of having their precious little boy before he was stricken with Entero Colitis complicated by pneumonia. Back then there wasn't much that could be done for Oscar. So on August 25, 1907, the baby lost his battle to live, and was called home by his Father in Heaven and Jesus, to finally be well at last.
Even though your life was so short, we will never forget you Oscar. We'll be the guardians of your memory always.
* NOTE: RECENTLY THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION REGARDING OSCAR'S FAMILY WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION: Certificate No 650 LA Co. 1907, 1910 census shows Oscar's siblings and parents living in Downey.

Kissed them and put them there.
"Now don't you go till I come," he said
And don't you make any noise!
So toddling off to his trundle bed
He dreamed of the pretty toys.
And as he was dreaming, an angel song
Awaken our little boy blue'-
Oh the years are Many, the years are long,
But the little toy friends are true.
Ay. Faithful to little Boy Blue they stand,
Each in the same old place,
Awaiting the touch of a little hand..
The smile of a little face.
And they wonder, as waiting these long years through,
In the dust of that little chair.
