Drowning
Edith Mead was seven years of age and was playing with her sister, making mud pies. The family lived near the Erie Canal, and little Edith fell into the water, and drowned. Edith's parents were Eugene and Martha (Dingman) Mead.
She is buried in Canajoharie Falls Cemetery in the smaller section once known as Brown Cemetery.
Edith had two sisters Anna and May(Mary), a brother Freddie.
Rest in peace with our Lord Jesus Christ, little Edith.
