My Father-in-Law
Leo was the youngest child of Joseph Jr. and Josephine Cootware Pidgeon. He was married first to Adele Blow and they had a son, Leo Jr. On Sept. 2, 1956, he married Rose Emery and they had four children-Tony, Deborah, Maureen and Jody.
Leo was survived by his wife, children, a grandson (a 2nd grandson was born 3 days after his death) and brothers Napoleon, Harold and Herbert Pidgeon.
Leo died after years of suffering from chronic lung disease. He had been employed at Robinson's Hardware in South Hero. He would have been my father-in-law but died 29 years before I married his son Jody.
Among his many grandchildren are Darryl Pidgeon and Aaron Meacham.
