HAND Larry Donn Hand, age 64, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Jacksonville, Florida. Larry was born January 19, 1949 in Jacksonville, Florida to Oscar Harry and Monica Louise (Kilgore) Hand. He attended Robert E Lee High School and left to join the United States marine Corp where he served during the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Middleburg, FL. Larry loved his family, enjoyed boating and fishing. He could make friends with anyone, so he never knew a stranger. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Charles and Bobby Ray, one sister Raynell, two nephews Jason and Jeremy Stephen Owens. Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Deborah Hand; one son Lance Christopher Hand (Brandi); four daughters Shelby Lynn Weber, Kelli (Hand) Favata, Ashleigh Nardone (Don), and Karrie Gonzalez (Jorge); one brother Jerry Scott Hand (Grace); two sisters Glenda Henderson (Robert) and Vicki Owens (Jim); grandchildren Benjamin, Tyler, Lauren, Paige, Juliana, Olivia, Marley, Gunner, Javier, and Keelan; two nieces Monica A and Britny F. Owens; three nephews Matthew S Hand (Rachael), Trey Henderson, and Bobby Scott Hand (Taylor). To my very dear friend and buddy Vaughn Register I say good bye until we meet again I will be waiting for you. A Funeral service will be held 12:00 pm, Friday May 24, 2013 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Interment will follow services in Riverside Memorial Park.
