STEPHENS Tab Allen Stephens of Jacksonville passed away August 18, 2006 in Shands Gainesville at the University of Florida, following several months of illness. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26, in New Beginnings Ministry of Jacksonville, 1656 West Edgewood Avenue, the Reverend Michael Hawk officiated. Mr. Stephens was a graduate of William M. Raines High School, Class of 1982, a graduate of Tampa Technical School and attended FAMU. After leaving FAMU, he began a career in car sales and was employed with several dealerships throughout Jacksonville, which includes Duval Hyundai, Frank Griffin Jeep Eagle and Autonation Mike Shad Chrysler Jeep. He was predeceased by his mother, Barbara A. Stephens. He leaves to mourn parents, Oscar & Helen Stephens of Archer, FL; siblings, Amos Stephens, Kim Stephens Perry, Aranha Stephens Sinclair, halfsister, Tonya Aranha Smith, all of Jacksonville and stepsister, Wanda Montjoy of Archer, FL; several nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends. Mr. Stephens rested in the mortuary for visitation of friends Friday, August 25 from 5-8:00 p.m. and in the church Sat. Aug. 26 from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment: Edgewood Cemetery. Arrangements by Phillips Mortuary, 4815 Avenue B, Garcia M. Phillips, L.F.D. (904) 7680666. The cortege assembled from the family's residence at 10:00 a.m.
