Kammie June Abernathy, age 5, a resident of Titus, AL passed away from injuries sustained from the April 27, 2011 tornado in Eclectic, AL. Funeral services for Kammie June Abernathy will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home with Rev. John Brannon officiating. The interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Gardens. Kammie is survived by her parents Paul Abernathy of Titus, AL, Jessica Epstein of Prattville, AL, grandparents Jerry Abernathy of Tallassee, AL, Dana & Shannon Dunn of Eclectic, AL, Larry Epstein of Oklahoma, Vera Epstein of Prattville, Al, great grandparents Shirley & David Justice of Titus, AL and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Pallbearers will be Jerry Abernathy, Paul Abernathy, Adam Abernathy, and Heath Abernathy. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Brookside Funeral Home of Millbrook, Al directing.

Kammie Abernathy, 5, of Eclectic, was killed April 27 when a tornado destroyed the trailer home of her grandmother. Her body was found in a grassy area about 150 feet from the where the home had been and not far from the body of her aunt, Candice Hope Abernathy

Kammie was the only child of Paul Abernathy and Jessica Epstein, and she lived with her grandmother, Dana Dunn.
