Son of John and Ailcey Muncy Diamond.
Married Emaline Bradley September 8, 1861 in Lawrence County, Kentucky. Their fourteen children were born in Lawrence County, Kentucky.
He lived about four miles from Louisa and was a farmer. He served in the Kentucky Civil War Union Volunteers in Company I, 68th Enrolled Militia.
He was 58 years old and had been sick for some time and his death was expected.
