ELLA B. ROBERTS

Ella B. Roberts, 96, Valley Falls, died June 21, 1993, at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Topeka.

Mrs. Roberts was born Sept. 5, 1896, in Plato, Mo., the daughter of Isaac and Lucina (Doherty) Magers. Ella was raised in the Holton area. She had lived in Topeka, Wichita, and Centralia before moving to Valley Falls seven years ago.

She was married to William Austin Roberts Oct. 21, 1920, in St. Joseph, Mo. He died in 1950. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Luella Wathen in 1990 and Lorene Corn in 1986.

Survivors include a daughter, Doris Barrager, Kansas City; a son, Don Roberts, Valley Falls; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Roberts were June 24 at Mercer Funeral Home, Holton. Burial was in Holton Cemetery.
