Phyllis Hart Leedom, 75 of Anderson, passed away November 12, 2012 at St. John's Medical Center. She was born May 15, 1937 at home. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1955 and attended Anderson College. She retired from the Anderson Public Library-The Indiana Room. She was a genealogist with the Madison Co. Historical Society. She located her mother's birth mother, Florence Bronson, in 1975 and she moved to Anderson to live. In 1996 Phyllis received the Elwood H. Phillips Award for preserving the heritage of Madison Co. She married Gerald C. Leedom in 1977 and they were the first couple married at the Gruenewald House. He preceded her in death in 2001. She was a life long member of Park Place Church of God and a member of the Goodwill Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her brothers and sisters. 14 Nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Huween Hart.

The family would like to thank Kim and Heaven, her caregivers for their love and care of Phyllis.

Funeral services will be on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service with Dr. David Markle officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until the service on Friday.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Madison Co. Historical Society.
