Michael A. Blanchard, age 52, of Kingston, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 at Park West Medical Center He was born July 17, 1962 in Sullivan County and attended University of Tennessee Knoxville. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Harriman. He was owner and operator of Gibson Girls Southern Goodies at Adelaide's in Kingston since 2007 but had recently retired due to his health. He was a well-known wedding coordinator, event planner and renown caterer. Michael was a History enthusiast and an admirer of old movies, also enjoyed antiquing and playing the organ. Michael made many friends and enjoyed taking care of people by doing what he loved. Preceded in death by his father, Byron West Blanchard.

Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am, Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Harriman with Father Michael Sweeney presiding. Interment will follow the Mass at Roane Memorial Gardens.
