Charley Berger dies Friday -4-10-72
Charley O. Berger, 71, a lifetime Wilson County resident, died Friday in St. Margaret's Mercy Hospital.
He was born in Wilson County June 16, 1900 to George and Alice (Hawkins) Berger.
On July 20, 1922 he married Effie M. Payne who survives at the home.
He was a retired city employee and a member of the Fredonia First Christian Church.
Survivors besides the widow are three sisters, Mrs. Chloe Boster, Quincy, KS; Mrs. Hazel Fudge of Augusta, KS; and Mrs. Elsie Kelley of Wichita.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Dunham - Timmons Funeral Home chapel with Rev. David C. Downing officiating. Burial will be in the Fredonia City Cemetery, Fredonia, KS.
