BOWEN, DORIS (nee MAHOLLAND), 82 - of Pleasantville passed away on November 24, 2006. Life long resident and graduate of Pleasantville High School class of 1942. She was a crossing guard in Pleasantville and Northfield for 15 years. She was active in local plays; Saints and Sinners and Sweet Adeline. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant Methodist Church choir and soloist for Eastern Star. Her hobbies were ceramics and growing orchids. She is survived by her beloved husband, William E. Bowen of 60 years; three sons, William Bowen of Pleasantville, Russell Bowen and his wife Barbara of Galloway, Donald Bowen and his wife Cynthia of OH; also survived by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a sister Gertrude Smith of Northfield. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 11:00 am at Lowenstein Funeral Home, 58 South New York Rd., Galloway, where family and friends may call from 10:00am until time of service. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Pleasantville.
