Obituary: Marcel Deleski Funeral At Elba
Funeral services for Marcel Deleski were held Tuesday morning, April 6th, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Elba. The Rev. Father Andrew Conda offered the Mass of Christian Burial. Mrs. Maurus Eiberger was the organist.Serving as pallbearers were: Raymond Panowics, Richard and Bernard Miller, Franklin and Raymond Rozmiarek and Dan Kuszak. The rosary was recited on Monday evening at 8 at the Keating Mortuary. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery at Elba.
Keating Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Marcel Deleski was born at Dayton, Washington on June 3, 1902, the son of Joe and Mary Kwarckinski Deleski. His Parents came to Howard County when Marcel was a very young child. Shortly after their return his mother died of scarlet fever and Marcel made his home with relatives. He was a farm laborer near Elba and St. Paul. He never married. He was baptized in the Catholic faith. He served with the 1st Division in France and Belgium in the medical department from June 30, 1919 to July 9, 1921, After his discharge he returned to Howard County. In 1968 he entered the nursing home in St. Paul where he died Saturday morning, April 3, at the age of 79 years.
He is the last of his immediate family having been preceded in death by a brother William, four sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Pruss, Mrs. Florence Millino, Martha Deleski and Mrs. Christine Rozmiarek.
He is survived by nieces and nephews.
