brother John Criss reported his death and the birth date is listed as Feb 16 1870 age 73 years 4 months and Lemach's parents are listed on the certificate as John Criss and Lydia Hughes.
When talking to the coroner, John must have been recalling Uncle Lemache Criss and his grandparents not his parents.

Lemech L. Criss Dies: Lemech Luther Criss, 64 died February 21 after a short illness at the home of a brother John Criss, of Wadestown where he had made his home for the last five years. A native of Monongalia County, he was a son of the late Kathryn Moore and William Criss. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Edward Kimble of Wadestown, a son Isaac William Criss, now serving with the Army some where in New England, a sister, Mrs. Tillie Merrifield of Mannington and a brother, John Criss. Funeral services were held at the home February 22, with the Rev. Roy S. Coe officiating, Burial was in the Allen Cemetery near Mobley, Wetzel County, WV. (clipping Sylvia Sine Whittaker)

Note: Lemeche's death record says he was buried in the Criss Cemetery. Cousin Wilma Criss Whittaker knew he was buried in the Allen Cemetery. The family seemed to call it the Criss Cemetery since so many of the family were buried there.

1920 Lemech (widow)is living with his two children and father in the home of his brother in law Millard Jones.
