Dutch Royalty. His Royal Highness Prince Friso of Orange-Nassau, Count of Orange-Nassau, Jonkheer van Amsberg, was the younger brother of Willem-Alexander, King of the Netherlands, and the second son of Beatrix, Queen of the Netherlands, and His Royal Highness The Prince Consort of the Netherland, born Klaus-Georg Wilhelm Otto Friedrich Gerd von Amsberg.

Prince Friso was a member of the Dutch Royal Family, but because he married without an Act of Consent from parliament, he lost his membership of the Dutch Royal House and was no longer in the line of succession to the throne.

He was buried under an avalanche on February 17, 2012 while skiing in Austria. He died the following August 12th without ever regaining consciousness.
