Guadalupe (Garcia) Arizmendi was born on March 27, 1941 in El Moral, Coahuila, Mexico to Maria (Saldaña) and Pablo Garcia. She married Jose E. Arizmendi on January 8, 1966 in Piedras Negras, Mexico. She is survived by her husband of 51 years; one son, Jose Gerardo Arizmendi; and three daughters, Patricia Salazar and husband, Ramiro, and Cristina Mirelez and husband, Juan, all of Uvalde, and Elizabeth Arizmendi of San Antonio; two brothers, Alberto Garcia of Eagle Pass and Fernando Garcia of Uvalde; three sisters, Paula Mireles and Juany Salinas, both of Eagle Pass, and Mary Zavala of Uvalde; seven grandchildren, Ramiro Salazar, Jr., Kassandra Salazar, Alena Salazar, Zachary Arizmendi, Jason Garcia, Jr., Julissa Garcia and Mason Mirelez; and three great-grandchildren, Andrew Rendon, Ramiro ‘’Tres” Salazar III and Nolan Salazar. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Francisca Sanchez.
