Funeral Services for James Albert Blagmon were held Thusday, March 4, 2010 at Mount Olive Baptist Church Hustle, VA.

Interment in the First Baptist Church cemetery, Loretto, VA.

James Albert Blagmon, eldest son of the late Albert and Maggie Blagmon was born June 21, 1925 in Essex County, Virginia. He departed this life on March 1, 2010 at Bon Secour Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville, Virginia.

He was educated in the Essex County Public School System. James received Christ at a very young age and became a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Loretto, VA. He was a faithful and devoted member of his church, serving unconditionally as an Usher, Trustee and as Deacon until his health began to fail.

James was employed with R.W. Watts Co. for over twenty years as a farm machinery mechanic and J.A. Laporte until his retirement.

He was united in holy matrimony to Ella Mae Blagmon and to this union four children were born. He was preceded in death by his wife Ella and two brothers, Fred and Robert Blagmon. He later married Lenora Martin Blagmon.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, his devoted wife, Lenora M. Blagmon; two daughters: Ella Louise Carter and Mildred Ann Stansberry; two sons: James Garry and Darrin Antony; seven grandchildren: Michael Amil, Shannon Louise, Nate Monique, James Garry, Jr., Thomas Lewis, Darrin, Jr. and Chelsea Monique and also Kevin and Keir Walthour; two brothers: William Thomas and John Lewis; a sister-in-law: Annie Mae Blagmon and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
