Mary Ellen Brown Banks, 96, of St. Stephens Church, Va., departed this life November 10, 2011 in a Hanover Healthcare Center.
She is survived by three daughters, Patsy B. Askins (Chauncey) of Cambridge, Md., Nannie B. Taylor (Bobby) of Walkerton, Va., Clara Banks (James) of Richmond, Va.; and one grandson, Frantz Banks of St. Stephens Church, Va.
Funeral services were held Thursday, November 17, at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Walkerton. Rev. Robert D. Brown, pastor, officiated.
Interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation was held at Washington Funeral Home, 1404 Tappahannock Blvd., Tappahannock.
