Ballerina. She was a Danish dancer and the most important of her day, the first to gain stardom outside of Denmark. She trained with Bournonville at the Royal Danish Theatre School, Copenhagen and later in Paris with Jean-Baptise Barrez. Made her debut at seven years old playing the part of Cupid but her offical debut was in 1834. Created Astrid in Bournonville's Valdmar. Acclaimed in the title role of La Sylphide and as Quitteria in Don Quixote. Her major role or the one she is mainly known for was in the Pas de Quarte dancing alongside Taglioni, Grisi and Cerrito.
