Eliza Rebecca Boice of Olive in Ulster Co., NY was married to John Chapman Henderson of Scranton, PA in 1850. Their first child, a girl, MARY I. HENDERSON, was born about 1851 in New York and died sometime between 1860 - 1870. (As of March 2018, no record of her burial has been found.)
The Hendersons traveled from New York to Iowa sometime in the early 1850's. Their first son, MILO JACOB HENDERSON, was born in Iowa on Nov 12, 1854. He died Aug 29, 1916 in Lawence, S.D. The Hendersons next child, another son, BURTON WARREN HENDERSON was born Oct 6, 1858 in Muscatine Co., Iowa. He died March 27, 1903 in Rodney, Monona Co., Iowa.
By 1863, the Hendersons moved to Atchison Co., MO where their daughter, JEANETTE ANNA "JENNIE" HENDERSON, was born in Rock Port, Atchison Co, on Feb 10, 1863. She died on Apr 1, 1947 in Whiting, Monona Co., Iowa.
In 1865, Eliza Boice Henderson and her three living children, Jennie, Burton & Milo, were back in New York, residing with her parents, and brothers. They had been living in Atchison Co, MO, a "border" county of Kansas & Missouri. At that time, Kansas & Missouri were involved in a violent border war over slavery.

At the same time, Eliza's husband, John, was serving in the Missouri Militia, which supported the North.
It is probable that Eliza and her children traveled to Delaware Co, NY for safety's sake. By 1868, the family was reunited in Missouri and another daughter, (my g.grandmother), LYDIA "LETTY" "LETTA" J HENDERSON was also born in Atchison Co., MO on April 23, 1868. She died of melanoma skin cancer on Nov 22, 1901, at her mother's home in Rodney, Monona Co.,Iowa.
Sometime within the next two years the Hendersons returned to Iowa; this time settling in Monona Co where their youngest child, a son, CHAPMAN LEGRANT "CHAP" HENDERSON, was born on Aug 28, 1870 in Ticonic, Monona Co. He died Dec 3, 1953 in Sioux City, Woodbury Co., Iowa.
(I realize there are some duplicate children listed on Find-A-Grave. That information is incorrect.)
