Robert E. Felix, 53, Logansport,
died unexpectedly Saturday, April
25, 1981, after suffering a heart a ttack
at a golf course there. He was
pronounced dead on arrival at
Memorial Hospital.
The son of Carl and Emma
(Gregg) Felix, he was born in
Lafayette on June 23, 1927. He was
married to Beverly Jean Rittershause
Feb. 15, 1964. A member of
Wheatland Avenue United
Methodist Church at Logansport,
he was senior vice president and
cashier at Farmers and Merchants
State Bank there. He was an Army
veteran of the Korean conflict.
He was a member of the Kiwanis
Club, Carousel Corporation, Orient
Lodge 272 F&AM; Scottish Rite,
valley of Fort Wayne; Logansport
Elks, Grissom AFB Community
Council, Twin Rivers Development
Corporation, past president of the
Breakfast Exchange Club and Bank
Administration Institute.
Surviving with the wife are a son,
Timothy Eugene, and a daughter,
Debra Jean, both at home; his
mother, Emma Felix of West
Lafayette; five brothers, Melvin of
Mulberry, Keith of Plymouth, and
Gale, Delton and Darrell, all of
Lafayette; and five sisters, Donna
Meyers of Arlington Heights, Ill.,
Thelma Verrill of rural Lafayette
and Lorene Goodnight, Betty
Treida and Beverly Mabis, all of
Lafayette.
