Actor. Italian-born character player in Hollywood films. He was often seen as a hot-tempered businessman, with a cigar in his mouth and a finger poking an underling's chest. Porcasi is memorable as Nick the Greek in "Broadway" (1929), and as the nightclub owner Lo Tinto in "Morocco" (1930). But perhaps his highest-profile role was an uncredited bit: as the apple vendor who catches a starving Fay Wray trying to steal in "King Kong" (1933). His other films include "The Fall of the Romanoffs" (1917), "Daniel Boone" (1923), "Svengali" (1931), "A Farewell to Arms" (1932), "Footlight Parade" (1933), "Flying Down to Rio" (1933), "Imitation of Life" (1934), "Mr. Deeds Goes to Town" (1936), "Juarez" (1939), "Casablanca" (1942), and "Hail the Conquering Hero" (1944). Porcasi was born in Palermo, Sicily, Italy.
