Mrs. Mueller was employed by the FBI as J. Edgar Hoover's secretary and had also been employed at U.S. Steel, George Washington University Hospital, Washington, D.C., and Capital Transit Co. She most recently was a receptionist employed by Dr. Irwin Domsky before her retirement.
She was born April 21, 1919, in Osceola, Iowa, daughter of Lafayette A. and Lurana M. Sampson Delong, she attended University of Iowa Junior College and the Four Cs Secretarial School.
She married Alfred S. Mueller on June 30, 1941, in Washington, D.C. The couple moved from Virginia to Canton in January 1998 to be nearer to their son and daughter. Mr. Mueller died April 9.
She died August 27, 2000 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam, NY.
