McBride, Roger John, passed away at 11:23pm, Tuesday, June 21, at Kaiser Hospital Anaheim of cancer. He was born April 11, 1938 in New York, son of John Albert McBride and Helen Mayer McBride. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Amondsen McBride; daughter, Stephanie Licari; granddaughter, Melissa Licari, great-grandson Jacob Licari; nephew, Steve Brubaker; and niece, Roberta Brubaker.

Roger served as a mechanic in the Air Force and received his Honorable Discharge in 1963. He was a Master Mason and served 3 times as Worshipful Master of the Citril Masonic Lodge in Brea in the 1980's. His devotion to service included years of supporting his wife in Rainbow Girls. He was a cook at Disneyland on Opening Day, a mechanic for rope-making equipment and an operating engineer at Alpha Beta.

Memorial service will be Wednesday, June 29, 6pm at the Gateway Masonic Temple #339, 500 E Imperial Hwy, Brea, CA 92821. Reception will follow the service, and all are welcome to share memories of Roger.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a donation be made to the Roger McBride Widows and Orphans Fund. Masons have long given to help widows and orphans, and this will be a way you can help them too. As Abraham Lincoln said "...to care for him who shall have born the battle, and his widow, and his orphan".
