Earl Stanley Wolfe was born on either on April 20, 1881 as shown by the Ohio birth and christening Index 1800-1962 or April 28, 1881 if you go by the date given on his WWI Reg Card. In 1900 Rawson, Hancock County, Ohio census he is 19 years old, single and living along with his three brothers, Emmor Clair, Coy Raymond and Ora Elda and one sister, Clara Imogene in the household of their parents James Macklin and Rebecca Cramer Wolfe. The Wolfe family moved south settling in Limestone County, Alabama about 1902 and in the Stewart Family Bible the date of November 22, 1903 was for the marriage of Lutelle (Lou or Lou Tillie)Stewart to Earl Stanley Wolfe and in 1910 the census shows Stanley and Lou Wolfe both 28 living in Morgan County, Alabama next to his brother Emmor and family and his occupation is shown as a contractor building roads. On September 12, 1918, Stanley registered for WWI, he was 37 years old, his address was still Morgan County, Alabama, his occupation was still road building and he was still married to Loutelle Stewart Wolfe. He signed the card Earl Stanley Wolfe, it was not a mark. He was Tall, medium build with Grey eyes and Black hair. By the 1920 census he and Loutelle both 38 have moved to Almaosa County, Colorado living on 1st street where they own their house and he is a fireman for R & D railroad. In 1930 he and Loutelle are both 48 and still living in Almaosa but now owning a house on 10th Street and he is a carman for the railroad. In 1931 Stanley Wolfe lost his beloved Lou Tillie when Lou Tillie had traveled back south to attend a funeral of a family member and she was killed in an automobile accident on her way back home from the funeral. Loutelle Stewart Wolfe was buried in her home town of Athens, Limestone County, Alabama where she was raised and lived until Stanley moved her to Colorado. On December 31, 1932 Stanley married Genevieve Morell. In 1940 Stanley, now 58 and his wife Genevieve 43, are living with her mother, Marietta Morrell on 8th Street in Almaosa, Colorado, there was no occupation listed for either Stanley, his wife or her mother who was 74. Earl Stanley and Genevieve Morrell Wolfe are buried next to each other. Stanley and Loutelle Stewart Wolfe were married 28 years and there was no children born to the couple.
Earl Stanley's sister Clara Imogene married Loutelle's cousin Will Edd Stewart and stayed in Limestone County, Alabama. His brother Emmor Clair Wolfe married Evora "Vora" Beckman in Alabama but later they moved back to Ohio where the Wolfe's originally made their home. Coy Raymond Wolfe married Bessie Stewart a cousin of Loutelle in Alabama and they too moved back to Ohio, his other brother Ora Elda married Gladys Lee Stewart but it is not known if she was a cousin of Loutelle and the other Stewart's that married the Wolfe siblings as she was from Michigan. They lived in Alabama for a while and then too moved to Ohio. All the Wolfe boys like their father before them had ties to the railroad.
