Maggie was born Caroline Margaret Ann Marr in the north Liverpool docklands. Baptised 24 Sept 1890 at St Matthias church. She was first married to Ernest Edward Wylie 6 Nov 1911, unfortunately Ernest lost his life fighting for his country early in 1918.
On 22 May 1919 like many war widows Maggie married again as she had 3 children to support. She emigrated with Harry Diehm on the SS Plattsburg that August and settled in Philadelphia (where one of her two sisters also settled the following year)
where Maggie had one further child to Harry.
