Mary Lou Rindt was born Feb. 1, 1927 in Danville, IL, daughter of George and Mae Burgoyne Rindt. She was little sister to Jack Rindt. She attended Franklin Grade School in Danville, then Lincoln School in Urbana. She went to Thornburn Jr. High and graduated from Urbana High School. She attended the University of IL for 2 years and studied art. Mother worked at Illinois Bell as a Telephone Service Observer, at Scott's 5&10 cent store, and later part time at Roland's Dept. Store.

She married Verlin B. Anderson of California April 28, 1957. They adopted Cindy and Debby, very lucky children to be specially chosen.
While raising her children she was the embodiment of a homemaker. In her spare time, she went on field trips, was room mother, and baked treats to take to school on birthdays. We always got to pick what kind of cake we wanted for our birthday.
•*¨*•.¸¸♥¸¸.•*¨*••*¨*•.¸¸♥¸¸.•*¨*••*¨*•.¸¸♥¸¸.•*¨*•
Mother continued to enjoy painting, mostly oils and some watercolors. She was a wonderful sketcher and painter, and many of her works are in our homes. She loved to travel, eventually visiting every state except North Dakota, as well as Cuba, Mexico, Canada, Great Britain, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Lichtenstein.
Mother also loved animals, having Boston Terriers Tiny and Snoopy while with her parents, then Boston Terriers Pepper, Tammy and Missy, followed by adopted brother and sister cats Bonnie and Clyde.
Mother was very family oriented, and all of her life her family came first. She enjoyed the company of her immediate family, her mother being her best friend, and all of her many aunts, uncles and cousins. Later, she had granddaughters Melissa and Hollie, and great-grandchildren Braydon and Keeley to enjoy spending time with.

Mother loved to travel, having visited every state in the U.S. except North Dakota. She had also been to Canada, Mexico, Cuba, Great Britain, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Lichtenstein. In keeping with that, she loved to eat out, particularly in new places.
Her favorite things were the color aqua, Sees and Fannie May chocolate creams, Gone With the Wind, musicals, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, daisies & roses, Shalimar and Passion.
