Lindsay attended Ranger schools through 7th grade. She attended Midway schools in Waco, Tx for two years, then graduated with honors from Westbury High School in Houston in 1976. She was president of the National Honor Society & received a Houston Livestock & Rodeo Scholarship. She was named Volunteer of the Year for the Houston Crisis Hotline. Lindsay was a freshman at the University of Texas

Grandparents: Pete & Betty Brashier of Ranger, Marvin & Ruth Datz of Houston, Lou & Vi Mink of California.
Brothers: Charlie Jones and Andy Brashier of Waco, and Sister: Rachel Brashier of Waco, TX.
