Stevens Institute of Technology Football and Track & Field Star. Holds an unofficial NCAA record for number of touchdowns (9) scored in intercollegiate competition at any level. His three year career on the gridiron culminated in 1919 when he quarterbacked Stevens to an undefeated season (7-0-0) while scoring 96 of the team's 186 points. Stevens did not allow a touchdown and yielded only a safety and a field goal the entire fall. For his efforts that year, Bloss received All American Honors. In track and field, the East Orange, NJ, native participated in dashes and the long jump. His leap of 22'-6" in 1920 still stands as a record at the university. Bloss was inducted posthumously to the Stevens Hall of Fame on July 3, 2000.
